An Inconvenient Truth

An Inconvinient TruthIt’s a documentary
No…idiot…its a slide show…or is Al Gore doing a “Chicken Little” act – the Sky is falling…?!?!
Nah…it is a publicity campaign by Al Gore for Al Gore on Al Gore…

Well it is a documentary, in a largely slideshow format with Al Gore as the host and this time the sky is falling for real !!!

Well…you will get many people who might talk against this movie, simply because there is no good winning over the evil, no damsel in distress, no 007 and definitely no state of the art computer animation.

This is a simple documentary that brings forth the argument that global warming is for real and if we as people inhabiting this planet don’t wake up and do something, it might be too late. Presented in a straight forward no-nonsense manner, this documentary simplifies the entire concept without loosing the gravity of the situation at hand.

This isn’t some platform Gore picked up in the last few years; this is something he has been fighting for his whole life, which gives him a credible and reliable voice in this issue and documentary. The best thing about Gore in this film is that he’s straightforward without being blatantly alarmist and which makes you believe in him and the problem at hand. In other words, you do not need to be a scientist to understand what he is saying about the environment and the consequences of global warming. He is an effective communicator and good at explaining the problem in layperson’s terms.

Go see the film. In countries, where this movie is not yet released, get a DVD and watch it. This movie impacted me enough to take this up @ my company PHI Creative Solutions Pvt. Ltd. and also change my lifestyle.

I am sure, it shall impact you the same way.

At the risk of sounding alarmist, this planet requires everyone of us to do our bit to get out of this mess we have created for ourselves.
