Finally YouTube’s India Portal went live on May 7 as YouTube.in. India becomes the 20th Country to have a specific YouTube domain. This helps in segmentation, which will drive more advertisers to sign up on YouTube’s advertising platform.

YouTube.in has a host of broadcast partners such as Zoom, Rajshri Media, NDTV, India TV, UTV, Yash Raj Films, Eros, Kamala Bhatt and many more.

All uploaded content on YouTube is protected by its digital hash technology for copyright protection. This technology makes it very difficult for someone to copy and reload the same content, thus curbing piracy, said YouTube International Manager Sakina Arsiwala.

However I find this very funny because the quality of the downloaded video is very bad. So if YouTube says their videos are difficult to reuse and copy, only because of the quality reason!!!
