Charlotte’s Web – Viewer’s Account

Once in a while, it feels really good to enjoy a lazy Sunday afternoon with a good movie. This weekend I decided to pick something different for a change. Charolette’s web, a delightfully filmed version of the book by author E. B. White.

Charolette’s web is a beautiful and charming story about a lovable little spring pig Wilbur and a small spider with a big heart, Charolette, whom he befriends in a barn. Wilbur as a piglet is saved and raised by a little girl, Fern, who sees him as a special animal. As he grows into a lively pig, he is sent to a new farm barn and there he finds a second profound friendship with the most unlikely of creatures – a spider named Charlotte. Their bond inspires the animals around them to come together as a family.

When the word gets out that Wilbur’s days are numbered, it seems that only a miracle will save his life. A determined Charlotte promises to save her friend somehow and spins a miracle as a remarkable effort to convince the farmer that Wilbur is worth saving.

It’s not often that a movie version of a book captures the essence of it wonderfully. But this one truly does. The movie is just as poignant but hopeful and heart warming. The other characters in the movie like the snooty rat Templeton, the goofy crows add to the hilarious moments. Its CG effects are so realistic and subtle that they do not detract from the live action base even a little bit and has a superb voice casting with the likes of Julia Roberts and Steve Buscemi who breathe life into the characters.

As the message of the story goes – Often we look so hard for miracles that we fail to see it. But the real miracle is in the ordinary things. Think about it.

Litmus Solutions Pvt. Ltd. is an Indian company with two diverse business areas – electrification solutions and car parking systems with imported elevators and escalators.

The challenge for us in designing the website was all about clear cut branding and direct positioning of these two core business areas.

We have designed it such that right from the company’s home page, the user is directly taken into the vertical of his choice. The design stands out for its simplicity in style. The clean and uncluttered look is enhanced further by its smooth navigation.

Though the two businesses are very different in nature from each other, we have managed to successfully create a balance between merging them into one as part of the company’s online identity and maintaining their individual identity.

Olive Riley has seen a lot in her years and now she’s recounting some of her life experiences in blog, (or ‘blob’ as she calls it) and it’s thought that Olive might be the world’s oldest blogger!

She was born in Broken Hill, Australia, on Oct. 20th 1899.
