Headway Capital Partners is a leading UK based independent private equity secondary firm providing a full range of liquidity solutions to investors by purchasing their assets.

The two branding tasks we undertook for this client were to redesign their logo and corporate website. The challenge was to develop a new look and feel without taking away from their existing identity. Having learnt that the name “Headway” for the company evolved from the phrase “making headway”, meaning making forward progress, which is originally a nautical expression, we decided to incorporate the term in its design.

We have hence used the element of a lighthouse ray as part of their new logo. Signifying that Headway is a company that guides its customers towards right liquidity solutions. We have carried across this nautical theme in their website too. Right from its flash treatment to visuals throughout the site, we have depicted different maritime images like that of ships progressing in a calm sea and so on.

The result was a brand new look that was simple and positive, projecting a reassuring, confident image which is exactly what customers look up to Headway Capital for.

Set in the fast growing small town of Ahmedabad, ‘The 3 Mistakes of My Life’ is the story of 3 friends – the protagonist Govind, with his passion and acumen for business, Ishan for whom life revolves around cricket and Omi, a priest’s son and a loyal friend who is game for anything that his friends are game for. An ambitious Govind sets up a sports shop with help from Omi’s family. Ishan, who coaches cricket for young boys, discovers an unusual talent in Ali, a gifted batsman that suddenly changes the course of his own destiny. Meanwhile a secret romance blooms up between Govind and Vidya, Ishan’s sister.

The story goes on to explore how in the pursuit for their goals, the three friends are confronted with many nightmares – religious politics, earthquakes, riots, unacceptable love and above all, their own mistakes. But will they succeed in spite of their few mistakes? That’s what the story is all about. Set amidst the sectarian riots of 2002 in western state of Gujarat, it also deals with the issues of tolerance and the confusion about religious values that many young Indians today feel. The series of events that follow the riot outbreak eventually changes the life of the three friends forever.

This story is a mix of cricket, religion, business, love and friendship – pretty much all the same ingredients that adds up to a good Bollywood theme! The book lacks the tight narration of ‘Five Point Someone’ and the pace of ‘One night@ call centre’ but is equally enjoyable for its simple style and sure to be loved by the young readers for whom it’s targeted.

All uploaded content on YouTube is protected by its digital hash technology for copyright protection. This technology makes it very difficult for someone to copy and reload the same content, thus curbing piracy, said YouTube International Manager Sakina Arsiwala.

However I find this very funny because the quality of the downloaded video is very bad. So if YouTube says their videos are difficult to reuse and copy, only because of the quality reason!!!

Using AdWords Editor for Non-Google Campaigns

Steps for exporting a campaign to Yahoo:
1. In AdWords Editor, go to File and Export to CSV.
2. Save the CSV file.
3. Log into Yahoo Search Marketing program.
4. Click on the Campaign Tab at the top.
5. Click on Import.
6. Click on the Convert Third Party Campaigns Tab.
7. Upload the CSV file that you exported and saved from AdWords Editor.

And note down steps for exporting a campaign to Microsoft:
1. In AdWords Editor, go to File and Export to CSV.
2. Save the CSV file.
3. Log into Microsoft adCenter program.
4. Click on Campaigns tab.
5. Click on Import campaigns tab.
6. Click on Excel to download a template.
7. Copy and paste the data from your AdWords Editor file to the template.
8. Save the template.
9. On MSN, click “Import File.”
10. Upload the CSV file that you exported and saved from AdWords Editor.
