Like traveling around the world? The current Seven Wonders of the World are outdated and the search is on for defining the New 7 Wonders of the World. The initiative started way back in 2000. Experts considered the 77 sites with the highest number of votes and short listed 21 finalists on January 1, 2006.

After a final 18 months of voting by the global public, the New 7 Wonders of the World will be announced during the Official Declaration ceremony in Lisbon, Portugal on Saturday, July 7, 2007 or 07.07.07. (smart date, huh!)
